Fast Food is the type of food that can be made very quickly. Usually fast food is not nutritional but it is full of fat, sugar and calories. Commonly fast foods incorporate chips, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, candies, desserts and soft drinks. People are so much attracted towards fast food because of its catchy color, taste and aroma. At the time of eating, people don’t think about the disadvantages of fast food. They don’t realize that even freshly cooked fast food causes harmful effects and illness. Here we will demonstrate the most common dangers and risks of eating fast food.

When too much body fat is increased, it causes Obesity. Fast food contains high calories and sugar that increases body weight and leads to obesity. Too much body fat tends to produce many diseases like diabetes and heart problems.

Fast food is rich with Trans Fats. It is manufactured fat that doesn’t have any nutritional value. Because of its unhealthy effects, it has been banned in some countries. Trans fats increase LDL Cholesterol in the body. It is a bad kind of cholesterol that decreases HDL – good cholesterol. Thus, Trans fats are very much involved to develop type 2 diabetes in the body.

Eating fast food four times a week can increase the risk of dying with heart disease by 80%. Trans fats present in the fast food can block the heart arteries due to high cholesterol levels. In this disease, arteries are clogged and they start to send blood to your heart instead of the brain. This abnormal blood circulation causes high risk of Angina and Coronary Artery disease. Some fast food restaurants are striving to remove fatty substances from their menu but it is still impossible to find a low calorie fast food. Only decreasing the food portion size can lower your risk for heart disease.

​Fast food lovers, who have a poor life style by being overweight and physically inactive, can develop type 2 diabetes frequently because of the high levels of cholesterol in their body. When we eat fast food, sugar and bad cholesterol enters into the blood stream. Our body releases an enzyme called insulin that helps to digest glucose and convert it into the energy. If a person is a diabetic patient, his body stops making insulin and thus the glucose cannot be digested properly. That leads to the harmful type 2 diabetes.

​A peptic ulcer is a type of gastrointestinal ulcer that is extremely painful. According to the research studies, peptic ulcer is caused by the depression, spicy food and alcoholic drinks. Common fast foods that can develop peptic ulcer are pizza, chips and salty snakes.

ABNORMAL SODIUM LEVELS:
Mostly fast food is seasoned with sodium chloride that makes the sodium levels extremely high in the meal. A little amount of sodium is good for a balance diet but if it exceeds the normal level it can cause hypertension, heart attack and high B.P. A high amount of sodium chloride tends to retain water into the body that makes you feel swelled up and puffy. Excess salt can also develop kidney stone and stomach cancer.

Why is fast food bad for you? Eating fast food is nearly universally risky. Because of the dominance of fast food culture, people like to eat unhealthy feasts on a daily basis. Fast food is not only dangerous for our health but it also promotes a life style that is dangerous for our culture and society. It is very necessary to understand the impact that fast food have on our body, especially because it is connected with some serious heart diseases and diabetes.
